Mineral Makeup Excitement

The following is an unsolicited testimonial about the new line of mineral makeup.

I have been wearing mineral foundation from another direct sales company for many years, and I have to say that I didn't expect there to be much difference. Boy was I wrong! I can't believe how the mineral foundation has actually improved the appearance of my skin. A very small amount creates unbelievable coverage, and the foundation is so soft and light; you don't even feel like you are wearing makeup.

At first, I wasn't going to purchase the finishing powder. I had never heard of it before, so I didn't think it was necessary. Again, I was wrong! It is now my favorite product. It is amazing how it gives your face that final glow and covers any last imperfections! And the funny thing is I lost my jar in my travels and tried to go without it. Nope, had to get it immediately!!

I was excited to try the mascara, because I have problems with other products making my lashes fall out. After using the mascara, my lashes have never looked better!! Not only are they no longer falling out, but they are growing back instead!

I'm ready to try the rest of the mineral makeup line as I know they will exceed my expectations!!

Mineral Makeup For Less

I am excited to announce the addition of a line of natural mineral cosmetics that are good for your skin and your pocketbook. Natural minerals, renewable natural moisturizers, soy protein and vitamin E are some of the ingredients that make the products superior.

Soy protein acts as a moisturizer while aiding in increased collagen formation and helps improve your skin's elasticity and regeneration. Vitamin E is a natural anti-oxidant that slows down the skin's aging process and helps decrease the appearance of fine lines.

Everything you need for a beautiful new you is available. Try our foundation (loose or pressed powder), bronzer and finisher, blush, eye shadow, mascara, slimline lipstick and lip gloss. For a perfect application, use our professional grade brushes made with natural goat hair.

Don't just take my word for it. Read what some of our customers are saying:

I just received my lip gloss and couldn't wait to try it. The applicator brush makes it a breeze to put on the soft, rich shine. And it smells yummy, too—just like marshmallow creme.

The humidity here usually causes my makeup to run, which is not a pretty sight. That hasn't happened since I switched to your makeup. No more clown face and raccoon eyes for me!
Jean, Louisiana

Because of my celiac disease, I have to be extremely careful of anything that is ingested, whether it's food, beverages or cosmetics. I tried the lipstick and had no adverse reaction. All I can say is WOW! Thank you for making such a wonderful product! Now I can look my best again without worrying about getting sick.

New Candle of the Month Options

The original Candle of the Month Program included one large jar candle, one dozen votives and one beauty bar (plus a free website). Our gourmet candles are made of renewable resources, virtually soot-free, long-lasting and smell incredible all the way to the bottom of the jar. The beauty bar can be used to shower, shampoo and shave; it's 3 products for the price of one.

View all of our candle styles, scented tarts, and simmer pots and bath and body products.

Recently another Candle of the Month was added. Instead of one large gourmet candle and a dozen votives, you may select two large candles. You still get a beauty bar—one of six fragrances—that is mild enough for the most sensitive skin (plus a free website).

On June 1, 2009 a third option became available. You may be surprised—and delighted—to learn that option number 3 contains no candles. This Personal Care autoship program includes two beauty bars, two body lotions, two foaming hand washes in a zesty orange scent (plus a free website).

Every month you can receive the products of your choice automatically without having to remember to order each time. Your credit or debit card will be conveniently charged when the items are shipped. You may cancel any time but you won't want to. For only $39.95 per month (plus a nominal shipping fee), this is a fun and inexpensive way to pamper yourself and a friend or two. Where's The Buzz?

Honeybees were brought here from Europe in the 1600s and have since made their homes all over North America. In the last few years honeybee populations across the continent have been reduced by as much as 70 percent. While scientists don't know why this trend is taking place, a number of theories have been floated. Some contend that pesticides and herbicides are to blame, while others believe that genetically modified crops may be the culprit. Global warming and radiation from cell phones and wireless communication towers may also contribute to the problem.

Why is this important? Commercially bred honeybees pollinate nearly 100 crops, including many fruits and nuts. Without their help, our national food supply could experience severe shortages. The lack of food will also affect people in other countries who depend upon our exports. Something must be done about this situation before it becomes a worldwide disaster.

April's Candle of the Month is Honey Bee Vanilla. Profits from the sale of this fragrance (jars, votives or melts) will be donated by the company to Penn State University for research into why the honeybees in the U.S. are disappearing so rapidly. What Is Network Marketing—part 2

Residual Income is the second of the three major components of network marketing.

Residual Income is the ability to get paid over and over for the work that you do only one time. It's also called royalty pay. There are very few businesses or industries today that pay residual income. Musicians, authors and insurance agents are a few professionals who do earn a residual income.

If you were to write or record a popular song, each time that song played on the radio or a CD was sold, you would receive a commission, or royalty payment. Conversely, should you choose to record a song written by another, you would pay them a royalty out of what you receive for each sale or play.

Residual income in network marketing is income you continue to earn based on efforts you put forth initially. This income is based on the sale of products and services. And these products must continue to generate repeat sales. This is one reason why "consumable" products are the most effective in network marketing. Consumable products are those items that are bought, used up and then replaced over and over again. If you are marketing a product that is a one time purchase product, you will have a harder time generating residual income.

Residual income is desirable in network marketing because this is what allows you to put forth a lot of effort in the beginning and reap the rewards of that for months and years to come! And by building an organization of people working toward a common goal, you can ensure a strong residual payout that will last for years. This is why it is important that you understand this pay advantage and invest your effort, energy and time in other people.

Earning residual income requires a few things—first that you take action to get momentum going in your organization. Second, you continue building on that momentum, and teach others to do the same. Finally, you learn and develop leadership skills that will provide the foundation that supports your entire organization.

Finally, we arrive at the System of Duplication, a concept that works on geometrical growth. Geometrical growth is a system of doubling as opposed to arithmetical growth which is a simple system of addition.

For example, if you start with a penny and double that the next day, you will have two cents; the next doubling will give you four cents, then eight cents, sixteen cents, thirty-two cents, and so on until Day 30 when you have $5,368,708! If you find this hard to believe, try it yourself with a calculator. This is the power of geometric growth and duplication.

Duplicating yourself means teaching someone else to do what you do. When the two of you each teach another person, you duplicate it again, only twice. And so on, and so on, and so on.

That's network marketing!

Combine the three strengths, and you've got a remarkable system for success that anyone can do if they choose.

Study these concepts and learn how to explain it. Then watch your business grow.

What Is Network Marketing—part 1

Network Marketing (or MLM) is a money-making concept that frequently defies description. However, if you think in terms of getting paid for your recommendations for films, restaurants, and books, you will begin to grasp the concept.

The more you recommend things you really enjoy or believe in the more money you can earn. Some network marketers have actually created a second income stream that equals or exceeds their primary income.

All you need to do is find a product you enjoy and believe in and go into business marketing it. You will find that others are equally enthusiastic about the concept of earning money simply by sharing a good thing with friends. The more folks who join you the more money all of you can make through the concept of time leverage, one of the three keys to a successful network marketing business.

Time leverage is a concept that can easily be understood by thinking of a successful franchise like McDonald's. To get a franchise, one must pay a sum of money to the company. In addition to the initial buy-in, a percentage of earnings are paid each month.

There are approximately 31,000 McDonald's restaurants worldwide, open an average of 18 hours daily. This means that the company is benefiting from about 538,000 hours worked every day instead of only 18.

Time leverage works much the same way in our business plan except that you don't have to pay a royalty back to the parent company.

For instance, let's say you start your own network marketing business and begin by investing five hours per week into your business. You introduce your business system to Jim and begin working with him. He also puts five hours a week into his business. You now have 10 hours per week working on your behalf, although you are only putting in five hours yourself.

If you and Jim each bring in a new partner, who each commit to five hours, you will soon be benefiting from 20 hours per week. Remember, your actual time involvement is only five hours each week.

By the end of the first month, forty hours each week are worked on your behalf. At the end of the second month, over 640 hours will be invested into your business each week, but not all by you. You are still only putting in five.

Do you see the beauty of time leverage? In network marketing, we are paid for opening "outlets" and teaching those "outlets" to be successful. And remember, franchising was thought to be a scam in the 70s when it first began.

Candles Then and Now

While Ancient Egyptians are generally credited with the first use of basic illumination, it was the Romans who are believed to have created the first candles. They contained wicks and were made by dipping rolled papyrus, a native plant, in melted tallow or beeswax. These were typically used for light in homes, travel at night and in religious ceremonies.

Because beeswax was costly it was initially used only by the wealthy and in religious ceremonies. Tallow, derived from animal fat, was the primary material used in candles for the masses. Tallow burns with a smoky flame and an acrid smell, while beeswax burns cleanly and has a pleasant sweet smell. Throughout the world civilizations created candles from locally available plants. In China, rolled rice paper was used for the wick while in India, candle wax was made from the boiled fruit of the cinnamon tree.

By the 13th Century, the widespread use of candles had created professional opportunities for the craft of candle making, known as chandlery, in both France and England. Candle making remained much the same until the middle of the 18th Century, when commercial whaling made an impact. The use of spermaceti oil created a wax which burned more brightly and was less susceptible to bending in heat than either tallow or beeswax.

The industrial revolution saw the development of a machine capable of the continuous production of molded candles. Increased efficiency and lower labor costs reduced the price of manufacturing, making candles easily affordable for most households. In the 1850s the introduction of paraffin wax, combined with stearic acid, led to the development of even more economical candles. Less than 20 years later, however, the invention of the light bulb caused a sharp decline in candle making.

It wasn't until the mid 1980s that candle popularity once again took off, with far more common use of decorative candles. In the 1990s new candle waxes were developed from soybeans and palm berries. The natural waxes produced candles that burned more slowly, were virtually soot-free and had more pleasing aromas. These modern innovations have created a surge in the use of candles which remains high today.

Candles have evolved since their introduction 5,000 years ago. No longer just a practical source of light, candles now serve many purposes and are available in a staggering array of fragrances, designs and colors. A few pillars of varying heights and widths in a grouping may serve as the focal point for the living room. Some unscented tapers in tasteful holders may add an elegant touch to the dining room table. Arrange a couple dozen tealights on the bathroom vanity to add a relaxing and hypnotic glow to your pampering ritual. Let a candle scented with sandalwood or other exotic fragrance put you in the mood for romance. Candles are enjoyable, versatile and truly affordable indulgences.
